Attorney Adam E. Teper joined the legal world to advocate for, and protect the rights of animals, whether companion, wild or beloved farm animals. A true ANIMAL LAWYER; an advocate for the rights and protections of ALL animals no matter what their "classification" is. Attorney Teper graduated from Massachusetts School of Law in Andover, MA in June of 2023, earning his Juris Doctor with a Major in Criminal Law. He is currently licensed to practice Law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Adam represents Dogs, Cats, Horses, Turtles, Whales, and all other kinds of animals and types of animal cases that come across his desk; even getting calls from Wildlife preserves across the Country via Pro Hac Vice. He certainly isn't scared to take on big cases to protect animals who need a voice!
In law school, Attorney Teper and the members of his trial advocacy team placed 2nd and 4th regionally (2 teams) and was part of the 5th place National team for Mock Trial Competition, and has also sat in on various Criminal Mock Trial practice sessions as an actor as well, always learning no matter the setting or role.
Prior to Law, Attorney Teper has spent the last 15 years working as both a school teacher, as well as an Actor as a member of SAG-AFTRA. He brings a strong voice for advocacy and helping others, an understanding of contracts, and a unique flair, into everything he sets out to accomplish. Attorney Teper also volunteers at an Equine Rescue and Sanctuary as well as several conservation organizations. His commitment to rise above and advocate for animals and a better world is unwavering.
Attorney Teper made the decision to pursue Animal Law due to his own personal life, where his dogs Smokey and Jagger were victims of an unjust system, broken and outdated laws and corrupt individuals. When Smokey was killed by a Government Entity unlawfully, Attorney Teper knew he needed to adapt and become a voice to make sure Smokey's fate didn't happen to others! Attorney Teper knew in his soul that animals needed a voice and the harsh realities of the current state of Animal Laws needs to be changed.
As a paralegal, Attorney Teper practiced an abundance of Animal Law and Consumer Protection cases from 2021-2023, and now continues to do so as an attorney after being sworn in. Adam Teper was also 3:03 certified as a law student, defending indigent clients in criminal cases even before being a licensed attorney. He realized quickly how the rights and protections of humans directly correlate towards the rights of animals, which is why Attorney Teper helps humans as well.
